Fly High Ukraine — a series of English language textbooks for elementary school students, developed by Charlotte Covill and Jeanne Perrett and published by Pearson Education Ltd. The course consists of four levels — from Fly High Ukraine 1 to Fly High Ukraine 4 — and helps children systematically develop their language skills in accordance with their age and proficiency level. We discuss this course in more detail in this review.

Review of the Fly High Ukraine Textbook Series

Fly High Ukraine is one of the leading series for teaching English to children. The material is presented through stories, songs, games, dialogs, and practical exercises. Students gradually acquire new vocabulary and grammatical structures, while also practicing listening, reading, speaking, and writing. The Fly High for Ukraine series was specifically designed with the learning needs of early elementary school students in mind.

Features and Benefits of Pearson Fly High Ukraine Textbooks

The Fly High for Ukraine course teaches students how to actually use the language, rather than simply memorizing rules and individual words. Children learn new vocabulary through real-life dialogues, role-playing games, and engaging interactive activities.

The material is presented step by step: from simple to more complex, with consistent and unobtrusive repetition. Thanks to this, students easily reinforce what they’ve learned and naturally expand their vocabulary. And to keep children from getting bored, each lesson is spiced up with fun songs, stories, and game-based activities.

Teachers also have complete freedom here: a rich arsenal of supplementary materials makes it easy to vary lesson formats and keep the class engaged.

Compliance with the New Ukrainian School (NUS) curriculum and approval by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine

Fly High Ukraine was created for use in elementary school, taking into account the approaches of the New Ukrainian School. The materials in the series are focused on developing students’ key language and communication skills and can be used in the educational process in accordance with current requirements.

This format allows for a consistent English language learning program throughout all four years of elementary school. Contact Dinternal Education for detailed information on this and other educational courses.
