What are Pearson exams?

These are exams from the globally renowned British educational corporation Pearson, which specializes in publishing educational literature, creating comprehensive electronic and print solutions for teaching/learning, and evaluating educational institutions as well as teachers and students.

Thus, the Pearson exam, officially known as the Pearson English International Certificate (PEIC), is one of the world's most recognized exams for assessing the English language proficiency of anyone learning English.

Everyone who takes the exam is guaranteed to receive an internationally recognized certificate confirming their English proficiency. Even if a candidate fails to confirm the declared level, they will receive a lower-level certificate. This certificate is official proof of language proficiency in more than 50 countries. It can be used in English-speaking environments both at home and abroad:

👉 when applying to an educational institution

👉 when applying for a job

👉 when obtaining an academic title (PEIC is included in the list of exams recognized by the Ministry of Education of Ukraine);

👉 when immigrating

Pearson products, including the PEIC exams we are discussing, are sold in 70 countries worldwide, including Ukraine.

In Ukraine, these products are OFFICIALLY represented ONLY by Dinternal Education, which means US!

You are currently on the page of our company, which has created a separate project for Pearson assessment and certification – Dinternal Certification (👈 click here).

There, we have gathered and presented everything related to international certification by Pearson in Ukraine.

Thus, PEIC exams are one of the two main directions of our work within Dinternal Certification. On the Ukrainian educational market, we have streamlined the PEIC process and have been successfully implementing it for 11 years!

With our help, you can take the following exams in Ukraine:

👉 PEIC for adults aged 14 and older

👉 PEIC Young Learners for children aged 8-13

The exam for candidates aged 14+ can be taken in two formats – traditionally offline and, for the first time in Ukraine, online. The online exam is called the PEIC Computer-based, and the fact that anyone can now take it in Ukraine is a significant achievement made possible by our shared philosophy with Pearson – making life better through learning.

PEIC Young Learners is currently only available in paper format, meaning it can only be taken offline.

Both computer-based and paper-based PEIC exams are administered in collaboration with official accredited test centers (TCs). This allows us to organize the exam process, assessment, and evaluation. The test centers provide candidates with everything necessary – from paper and pens or computers to a specially prepared environment that meets Pearson’s international standards. There are 28 test centers across Ukraine; you can view them here (👈 click here).

IMPORTANT!

Unfortunately, some centers are not operating under current circumstances. For up-to-date information on availability and schedules, please contact us directly.

If we are talking about paper-based exams, you need to register in advance for a session that suits you. There are four sessions – in May, June, November, and December. We publish the session schedule and application deadlines on this page (👈 click here).

On the scheduled date and time, the candidate arrives at the chosen test center and takes the exam.

PEIC Computer-based is not tied to specific dates; it can be taken at any time, which is highly convenient as there is no waiting involved. Results are available in just two weeks, and the certificate is issued within a month. This option is particularly useful for those urgently traveling abroad, seeking new job opportunities, or your specific case.

The computer-based exam is conducted on a special online platform provided by Pearson, which candidates gain access to on a scheduled date after paying for the exam. It can be taken in any private location – at home, at work, or in a test center if that is more convenient. Choosing a test center might be preferable if your personal space does not meet the technical requirements for remote exams in a live-stream format.

Both paper-based and computer-based PEIC exams are always supervised by accredited Pearson examiners.
